Allianz Commercial is pleased to announce the appointment of Jérôme Notton as Head of Underwriting Aviation for Mediterranean and Africa. Effective May 1, 2024, Jérôme will assume this key leadership role, while also retaining his current position of Global Aerospace Underwriting Product Leader on an interim basis until his successor is confirmed.

In his new role, Jérôme will be responsible for overseeing the aviation underwriting business in France, Italy, Benelux, Africa, and the Middle East. With his extensive experience and expertise, he is expected to drive the growth and success of this vital line of business.

Jérôme brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record to his new role. Prior to joining Allianz Commercial, he held various leadership and senior positions at AXA XL for a decade, where he excelled in reinsurance, key account management, and aviation underwriting. Jérôme joined Allianz in 2020 as a Senior Aviation Underwriter at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) before being appointed as the Global Aerospace Underwriting Product Leader in 2021.

A highly accomplished professional, Jérôme holds a master's degree in management sciences with a major in finance, as well as a master's degree in financial engineering. His educational background, combined with his extensive industry experience, positions him as a valuable asset to Allianz Commercial.

Jérôme succeeds Jean-Pascal Mouchette, who has decided to pursue opportunities outside the Allianz Group. Reporting directly to Tom Fadden, Global Head of Aviation at Allianz Commercial, and with a matrix report to Patrick Thiels, Regional Managing Director for France and South Africa at Allianz Commercial, Jérôme will be based in Paris.

Allianz Commercial is confident that Jérôme’s appointment will further strengthen its position in the aviation underwriting market and reinforce its commitment to providing exceptional service to business partners.
