Allianz Commercial makes senior leader appointments in large-corp Property business
- Danny Stock is appointed Head of Property, UK and South Africa Region.
- Tim McGain assumes a global Property role in the Chief Underwriting Office.
Allianz Commercial today announced two internal promotions within its Property teams in the large-corporate segment. Danny Stock is appointed as the new Regional Head of Property for the UK & South Africa region. He succeeds Tim McGain, who joins the Global CUO Property team. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Danny is well known across the industry, with over two decades of property underwriting experience. He previously held senior roles at RSA, Brit Insurance and Charringtons at Lloyd’s before joining Allianz’s large-corp team as Head of UK Property more than 10 years ago. In his new position, Danny will lead the Allianz Commercial large-corporate Property business across the region, with responsibility for the profitability and strategic direction of the portfolio. He will report to Luke Baker, Director UK Global and AGCS SE Branch Manager, and will continue to be based in Allianz’s London office.
Tim was appointed Regional Head of Property for Allianz Commercial in 2018, having previously held a number of senior Property roles across the industry, alongside important market positions including President of the London Business Interruption Association. In his new Global CUO role, he will play an active part in fostering a collaborative environment while supporting the ongoing development and execution of Allianz Commercial’s global property underwriting strategies. He remains based in the London office and will report to Mike Martin, Global Head of Property at Allianz Commercial.
Luke Baker, Director UK Global and AGCS SE Branch Manager, said: “Danny brings deep technical expertise, exceptional broker relationships and a long track record of underwriting leadership, making him the ideal person to take our UK & South Africa Property business forward. His appointment is extremely well deserved and demonstrates the fantastic bench strength we have within Allianz Commercial. Property remains a core strategic focus for us, and I look forward to building on this momentum with both Danny and the team.”
Mike Martin, Global Head of Property, Allianz Commercial, commented: “My thanks to Tim for his dedication and leadership as Regional Head of Property over the past seven years. His market expertise, focus on technical excellence and commitment to our clients have been instrumental in shaping the strength of our regional Property portfolio. I am delighted he is joining the Global CUO Property team, where his experience and collaborative approach will be invaluable as we continue to develop and execute our global underwriting strategy.”
