Allianz Risk Transfer AG relocates headquarters from Liechtenstein to Switzerland

Press release | July1, 2026

Approximately nine months ago, Allianz Risk Transfer AG (ART AG) announced its decision to relocate its headquarters from Liechtenstein to Switzerland. This relocation has now been approved by the relevant authorities, the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority (FMA) and the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). The relocation will take effect on July 1, 2026.

ART AG was previously headquartered in Schaan, Liechtenstein, and maintained two branches - one in Zurich/Wallisellen, Switzerland, and one in Bermuda.

With the relocation of the registered office, the ART AG branch in Zurich/Wallisellen will seamlessly continue its operations as the new headquarters of ART AG; there will no longer be a branch in Liechtenstein. The branch in Bermuda will remain in place. ART AG will be supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in the future.

With this relocation, Allianz Risk Transfer AG is streamlining its presence in Europe. On the one hand, Switzerland is an important international hub for complex insurance and reinsurance business. On the other hand, by relocating its headquarters to Switzerland, ART AG is simplifying its corporate structure, thereby reducing administrative complexity and improving operational efficiency. Additionally, the move brings the company closer to its customers in Switzerland and to its international business network. At the same time, ART AG will utilize the existing Allianz Commercial platform in the European Economic Area (EEA), which is established within Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, to serve its European customers outside of Switzerland.

The day-to-day operations of ART AG and its branch will continue without interruption. For ART AG’s corporate clients and brokers, there will be no practical changes with respect to their market contacts, services, terms and conditions for (re)insurance contracts, or claims processing.

Clients and brokers have or will be informed separately about the relocation of the headquarters and the reasons for the move through various communication channels.

The relocation of the headquarters will have no impact on ART AG’s current ratings (AA- from Standard & Poor’s).
